Something new, exciting and wonderfully unusual is going on in downtown Tarboro, North Carolina.

A once empty and neglected building on Main Street is now home to The Unusual Shoppe with an eclectic assortment of ever-changing cool collectibles and fabulous finds including antiques, postage stamps, old coins, trading cards, vintage dolls, artisan handicrafts and more, plus thousands of previously owned books from vintage children's books and recent best sellers to rare antique titles.

TAKE A PEEK INSIDE

We have started renovations and are currently using a portion of the first floor on the south side of the building. You can find our store entrance just off Main Street, at 108 E. Pitt Street, (near the Court House & the Town Square).

Initially profits from sales will go towards further building renovations. We've planned restoration and shopspace expansion that will include the entire first floor of the building. We think Tarboro is a GREAT town; a great place to live and a great place to visit. We've set our sights on creating at 305 N. Main Street a fabulous day-trip destination with the area's most interesting place to shop for antiques, art, one of a kind pieces, custom clothing, handcrafted products, collectibles and unusual finds, with regularly scheduled entertainment and events for the whole family.
